The 2026 edition of the Battiati Jazz Festival - “Notes in the Theater.” marks a new chapter in the musical history of Sant'Agata li Battiati, confirming the will of the’Musikante Cultural Association to bring great jazz music to places of culture and artistic dialogue.
The review, hosted as always in the Municipal Theater of Sant'Agata li Battiati, offers elegant and contemporary programming that combines established masters and new voices from the Italian jazz scene.
A sound journey between tradition and modernity, with seven appointments crossing languages, generations and musical sensibilities, in an intimate and collected atmosphere.

February 1 to May 31, 2025
Notes in Theater 2025 is the review that brought great Italian jazz to the stage of the “Gilberto Idonea” Hall of the Municipal Theater of Sant'Agata Li Battiati, transforming the theater space into a crossroads of sounds, emotions and talents.
A project that intertwined music and territory, promoting the meeting between local audiences and some of the most significant protagonists of contemporary jazz, without forgetting the value of education and support for new generations.

Winners of the Umbria Jazz 2024 Conad Contest Prize, they opened the festival with a powerful, refined and enthralling live performance.
🎼 February 15, 2025 – Jazz Ensemble of the “Arturo Toscanini” Conservatory of Ribera
The new generation of Sicilian jazz in an energetic and engaging performance.
🎤 March 1, 2025 – Carla Restivo 4et “Paula Project”
A female project that pays homage to poetics, with elegance and originality.
🎶 March 15, 2025 – Emilia Zamuner & Massimo Moriconi “Duet & Quartet”
An intimate and complicit dialogue between voice and double bass, which opens up for the quartet to explore new nuances.
🎷 March 29, 2025 – Alberto Gurrisi & Sicilian Friends feat. nico Gori
An explosion of groove and interplay, between Hammond, horns and modern jazz. Special guest: Nico Gori.
🎹 April 12, 2025 – Tonino Miano Trio “Luminary”
A refined and experimental sonic journey that blends research and beauty.

Two signature sets to celebrate jazz around the world:

– Cesare Panizzi Trio (9:30 p.m.), winner of the Massimo Urbani Award 2024.
🎙️ May 17, 2025 – Ada Montellanico 4et “Tribute to Billie Holiday”
One of the great voices of Italian jazz pays tribute to Lady Day with depth and intensity.
🎵 May 31, 2025 – Mauro Schiavone Trio
A finale of the review marked by elegance, harmonic care and musical sensitivity.
