An intense journey into the languages of contemporary jazz with the’Angelo Di Leonforte Group, an exceptional formation led by pianist and composer Angelo Di Leonforte, among the finest interpreters of the Italian jazz scene. Alongside him are three outstanding musicians: James Tantillo to the trumpet, Riccardo Lo Bue on double bass and Antonio Petralia to the battery.
The concert features a selection of original pieces and rearranged standards, in a blend of lyrical atmospheres, modern grooves and moments of intense collective improvisation. The quartet's sound, compact and at the same time dynamic, returns all the expressive force and creative freedom that characterizes jazz music in its most vivid form.
The event is part of the review promoted by the’Musikante Cultural Association and will be preceded at 8 p.m. by the presentation of the book “In St. Petersburg with Dostoevsky.”, an opportunity to weave words and music into an evening of beauty and thought.
