The review Liberty in Jazz 2026, promoted by the’Musikante Cultural Association with the artistic direction of Antonio Petralia, has opened a new chapter in its programming by moving to the outdoor spaces of Villa Ardizzone Events with “In the Garden”, the new summer format dedicated to jazz and singer-songwriter music set within the evocative setting of the villa's historic garden.

Kicking off this new season was the project “RiflesSounds”, refined artistic encounter between the singer Chiara Providence and the double bassist and composer Tommaso Pugliese, a duo that makes essentiality and mutual listening their stylistic hallmark.

Through a continuous dialogue between voice and double bass, the two musicians proposed an intimate and engaging musical journey, in which jazz, singer-songwriter music, and improvisation blend into an elegant and deeply communicative language. The repertoire spanned some of the most significant pieces of 20th-century music, from Henry Mancini a Charles Mingus, up to the original compositions by Tommaso Pugliese, interpreted with great sensitivity and a constant expressive research.

The strength of the project lies precisely in its ability to transform just two musical voices into a sound universe rich in colors, nuances, and suggestions, where each piece is born from the interplay, improvisational freedom, and deep artistic harmony between the performers.

The concert also marked the official start of “In the Garden”, Musikante's new summer proposal, created to offer the public an intimate and immersive listening experience, capable of combining artistic quality, enhancement of historical heritage, and dialogue with the landscape.

An evening of great emotional intensity that confirmed the vocation of the Musikante Cultural Association in promoting original and high-profile projects, continuing the path of Liberty in Jazz and successfully inaugurating a new season of open-air concerts dedicated to the best contemporary jazz music.
