The review Summer in Music 2026, promoted by the’Musikante Cultural Association, hosted one of the most anticipated events of the season with the concert of The One Trio, training consisting of Sam Mortellaro on the piano, Alberto Amato on double bass and Antonio Petralia to the battery.
Born from the meeting of three musicians bound by a long artistic friendship and a deep musical harmony, the trio represents the return of a collaboration that has graced numerous Italian stages over the years, now finding new energy and renewed interpretive maturity.
The concert offered a refined journey through jazz tradition, alternating revisited standards with original arrangements with compositions by Antonio Petralia, in which composition and improvisation coexist in perfect balance. Each piece has become an opportunity for dialogue, mutual listening, and expressive freedom, elements that constitute the ensemble's distinctive signature.
With an essential but extremely rich instrumentation in timbral and expressive nuances, The One Trio he has built a musical narrative capable of combining memory and contemporaneity, elegance and spontaneity, transforming each performance into a unique and unrepeatable experience.
The evening was preceded by the presentation of the novel “Glue” of the writer Sal Costa, in dialogue with Salvatore Massimo Fazio, confirming Musikante's desire to complement its musical programming with moments dedicated to literature and cultural exchange. This is a path that has characterized the Association's initiatives for years, promoting encounters between different artistic languages and offering the public a complete cultural experience.
With the concert of The One Trio, Summer in Music 2026 reaffirmed its attention to original projects and musicians capable of interpreting jazz as a living language, open to dialogue and continuous evolution, thus consolidating once again the role of the Associazione Culturale Musikante in the promotion of author music and jazz culture in Sicily.
