APJ Quartet - “Strasbourg St Denis”
On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 9 p.m., the Cloisters of the Municipal Palace in Sant'Alfio will host the’APJ Quartet for an evening of great jazz under the banner of elegance, interplay and creative energy. The concert, with free admission, will feature four outstanding musicians: Alessandro Lo Chiano to the trumpet, Angelo Di Leonforte on the piano, Richard Grosso on double bass and Antonio Petralia to the battery.
The quartet will present a repertoire inspired by the famous song “Strasbourg St Denis” by Roy Hargrove, a tribute to the tradition of modern jazz with forays into groove, blues and contemporary metropolitan sounds. The ensemble combines virtuosity and interpretive sensitivity, resulting in a refined and engaging concert in a unique setting between the slopes of Etna and the magic of the historic center of Sant'Alfio.
The initiative is promoted by the Musikante Cultural Association under the patronage of the Municipality of Sant'Alfio and the support of the Ministry of Culture, as part of the national I-Jazz circuit and the “Jazz Takes the Green” and “Italia Jazz & Wine” projects.
