The Battiati Jazz Festival 2026 – Notes in Theatre hosted on the stage of the Sant'Agata Li Battiati Cultural Center one of the most interesting projects of the new Italian jazz scene: the Canvas Melodies Quartet led by bassist and composer Alessio Zoratto.

The concert offered the audience an intense and engaging sonic journey, in which composition and improvisation intertwined in a refined balance between musical exploration, lyricism, and creative energy. Through a repertoire of original pieces, the quartet brought to life nuanced soundscapes, capable of evoking images, emotions, and suggestions that recall the very idea of the “musical canvas” from which the project takes its name.

Alongside Alessio Zoratto on double bass, performed Giovanni Perin on the vibraphone, Luca Zennaro on guitar and Luca Colussi on drums, four musicians united by an extraordinary artistic sensibility and consolidated international experience. The constant dialogue between instruments, the quality of their interplay, and their expressive freedom have confirmed the value of a group that represents one of the most original voices in contemporary European jazz.

The performance was met with great public appreciation, solidifying the festival's role as a prime meeting place for established artists, emerging talents on the international scene, and jazz enthusiasts. A highly prestigious event that once again testifies to the commitment of the Musikante Cultural Association in promoting innovative artistic projects of high cultural caliber.

Battiati Jazz Festival 2026 – Notes in Theatre continues its path of promoting contemporary jazz music, offering opportunities for listening and comparison with some of the most interesting creative expressions on the national and international scene.
